The Peninsula College women’s basketball team is among the elite women’s teams in the Northwest Athletic Conference. The Pirates are coached by Alison Rose (Crumb), a Port Angeles product who played for Peninsula then for Western Oregon before coming back to coach the Pirates. The PC women have won eight North Region championships along with 3 NWAC championship game appearances, and in 2015 won their first NWAC Championship in the history of Peninsula College women’s basketball. In 2022, the PC women earned a second-place NWAC finish and Coach Rose was named North Region Coach of the Year. In 2023 and 2024 the Pirates earned third place NWAC finishes. Coach Rose has established herself as one of the professionals to watch in the intercollegiate women's basketball community and has built a program that has become a destination program for high school basketball standouts. Off the court, Peninsula College athletes participate in community service projects and play a significant role in the development of young players through the basketball camps, as well as engagement in elementary, middle school and high school mentorship programs and school clinics.
